If you're trying to nuke the enemy with AOE attacks, then you'd want the melee minions. If you are attacking something with AOE attacks, itself, then you'd want the ranged ones.

for supportive purpose -> minion
for annoying purpose -> horror
for damaging purpose -> fiend
